A system view creator and editor
I wanted a way to show the underlying Computational Twin technology that powers Frontier, Faculty’s decision intelligence tool that simulates business event data into the future. I felt strongly about the concept and took it from sketches through to a working demo for sales teams and delivery teams to use to work on Frontier projects.

The insight came from working with previous clients and users who valued being able to see a top level “system view” of their business. This helped both new and existing users see what was happening “under the hood” of Frontier – building trust in a complex AI tool.

I expanded the tool to be able to help teams at Faculty generate the AI Agent Command Centre layouts.

How it started

Through working on Faculty’s Frontier enterprise decision intelligence tool, I saw developers working to build the CT definition files, a computational twin model of a business that Frontier used to pass business event data through to run simulations for the user. This was a cumbersome and slow process. I knew there could be a faster way using a drag and drop style builder and so would sketch different versions in Figma. It wasn’t until I began experimenting building in Vue.js and Cursor that I realised I could build a real version.

Early versions simply visualised the CT, before adding functionality to add and edit objects on the canvas.

Fundamentally, I saw a user pain point and built a solution that people loved.
